Window partially because I ound it rustrating that Jemma wasn t using any kind of AAC and I #was glad to see that be addressed in the story The book does a good #glad to see that be addressed in the story The book does a good of making you eel Jemma s rustration at not being understood especially over something so important It also does a good job of showing the ableism she experiences how she is assumed to be intellectually disabled because she can t speak and how this affects her I do wish this had been extended to autistic Finn a little but I recognise that he isn t the main character so there was limited space to develop him This book is very well Writen And It Suprizes Me and it suprizes me well Penny the author wrote it as the main character cannot move There is so much going on inside Jemma s the main character head I think it is portrayed excellently and you could really eel the Still Life with Chickens frustration about not being able to tell anyobe anything You can really connect to Jemma and I personallyelt so happy when Jemma Still Life with Chickens: Starting Over in a House by the Sea finnaly was able to speak I will stop writing here as iear i may give a little too much away But it is a really well written book and I woukd recommend it Paradox Bound for peoplerom the age of 9 and above I thoroughly ennjoyed this book as it was very original and I loved the way Penny Joelson combined crime the struggles of a disabled person It also teaches you that just because you are disabled or are a bit different to others doesnt mean you are not able to do the same as them I was also very happy that Jemma was inally you are not able to do the same as them I was also very happy that Jemma was inally to communicate properly and that she was inally able to tell her Mother she loved he.
