Trol his mind We got nothing of that but thinking about it now it s probably a good thing to know there will be Legion novellas turning the whole thing into entertaining seriesThe novella has a moving briskly pace and even if it s than twice as Stealing the Gila: The Pima Agricultural Economy and Water Deprivation, 1848-1921 long as its predecessor we reach the end all too uickly There is aot depth than meets the eye with discussion of uantum physics and the infinity of time which brings Sanderson s favorite writing pattern to tie faith and science and God s place in all this into viewI read this book exclusively using the audiobook edition narrated by Oliver Wyman who ones again did an excellent job with the variety of voices and accentsmy personal favorite of his performance is Tobias s voice While undoubtedly I enjoyed this novella a Literature and Dictatorship in Africa and Latin America 1958-1987 lot I m not sure whether Iiked it or Academic Advising Approaches less then its predecessor I blame realifethe bitch who tried and succeeded to majorly interfere in every which one of the 4 hours of this audiobook The whole process was one serious case of multitasking If I had the opportunity to WHOS WHO IN AFRICAN AMERICAN LITERATURE VOL.1 listen to the book in relaxed times I probably would have rated it higher Hence now I m giving it the exact same rating I gave the first novella Information for everybody Go for it Brandon Sanderson never ceases to surprise me even though this book is a 100 pages novella it still has amazing world building great characters amazing unpredictable plot These three things is what Iove in books and add writing which I normally pair with the world building how he does it I know not Here are some of my favourite uotes in the book What I asked him Is there something wrong He s just paranoid Ivy said Remember when he thought the postman was a terrorist So the nerds accidentally invented a cancer machine Big deal I ve got one of those already JC held up a cellphone and wiggled it You have a mobile phone Ivy asked exasperated Sure JC said Everyone does And who are you going to call Santa I ve got it figured out Skinny We re all from this other place see And when you need some help you reach out and snatch us You re some kind of physics wizard A physics wizard Yup And I m no Navy SEAL I ve just got to accept that He paused I m an Interdimensional Time Ranger I Agricultural Science for CSEC Examinations looked at him grinningBut he was dead serious JC I said That s as ridiculous as Owen s ghost theory More fun with JC Ivy Tobias and the gang Iike Stephen Leeds and I totally adore his gang of imaginary sidekicks especially JC the ex Navy SEAL security and weapons expert who has a hard time dealing with the fact that he s not realNot zombies I said feeling cold Cancer You created a virus that gives people cancerIt was an unintended result that is perfectly manageable Laramie said and only dangerous if used malignly And why would anyone want to do thatWe all stared at him for a momentLet s shoot him JC said Thank heavens Tobias replied You haven t suggested we shoot someone in over an hour JC I was beginning to think something was wrongNo Alphas Abused Mate listen JC said We can shoot Pinhead McWedgy over there and it will teach everyone in this room an importantife esson One about not being a stupid mad scientistThis is the second in a series of short novels about Steve a genius who consults for various people or companies who need complex problems solved Steve has an intriguing mental illness he hallucinates different personae he s up to 47 now who each take on a particular field of knowledge or skill that Steve has And once he passes off his knowledge about say computers to a particular hallucinatory character that knowledge is utterly unavailable to him unless the character tells him about it It s odd because they re so completely real to him but at the same time he knows they re not real And his hallucinations mostly also know
They Re Not Real But re not real but much of Steven s ife depends on him and them acting Climate Smart Agriculture (Natural Resource Management and Policy Book 52) like they re real It s fascinating and sometimes it gets really meta which Iove good brain exerciseJust imagine your sense of accomplishment I said You re imaginary so imaginary accomplishment should work for youBut if I m imaginary and I imagine something it s doubly unreal Like using a copy machine to copy something that s just been copiedSo The plot It s a mystery about a man who was a pioneer in biotechnology and developed a method for storing massive amounts of information in the cells of the human body He s believed to have stored some ground breaking scientific information in his body before he died And his corpse has now gone missingThe mystery itself is just okay the real pleasure in this book is reading about Steve and his hallucinatory alter egos Brandon Sanderson
handles it all with a deft humorous hand I just wish we d gotten a few answers about the mysterious Sandra it all with a deft humorous hand I just wish we d gotten a few answers about the mysterious Sandra psychologist who disappeared from Steve s Academic Body life years ago and whom he desperately wants to find again She keeps being dangled in front of usike a particularly annoying worm but nothing really happened with that plotline at all I also thought this second installation in the series would have benefited from depth and detail I m not sure the novella Saint Germain On Alchemy length was the best choice Still this was a funight read with some intriguing moments I Chasing the Red Queen ll definitely read the next one in this series Another good novella by SandersonThis one isonger than the first story which is good because one of my criticism of book 1 was that it was too short This one is about twice as Haylee longIt s a detectivemysterythrillercrime story with interesting premise about biotechnology embedded storage device that has gone missing The story is a uite good well paced and expands our understanding of Stephen and his different aspects The different aspect of Stephen are all well drawn and they have an interesting dynamics between themHaving said that I wasn t awed by the story something I expect from Brandon Sanderson s stories I was hoping for from this follow up story It was a fun read but think book 1 is slightly better45 This book is uiteonger than Legion I think this novella is a The Columbia Guide to South African Literature in English Since 1945 (The Columbia Guides to Literature Since 1945) lot better than the first novella of Legion I enjoy read this bookStephen Leeds is a geniu. Uneasy peace with his own hallucinations is beginning to fray at the edges as he strives to understand how one of them could possibly have used Stephen's hand to shoot a real gun during the previous case And some of those hallucinations think they know better than Stephen just how many aspects his mind should make room for Howong will he be able to hold himself together.
Read & Download Legion: Skin DeepA great book Legion is a great character Is he a genius or a crazy person Is he a hero or is he out for himself and who is in control Steven Leeds or his Aspects One thing he is not is boring The book and plot are extremely well thought out The story finds Steven trying normal things Hijacking the Brain like a blind date they trouble is Steven is never alone and normal is not one of his ualities The interaction between his and his aspects is great and their own flaws simply make himthem interesting Iike the was the Legion is tested in this book We see 僕のヒーローアカデミア 3-4 limits and flaws on his powers I have alwaysove the way the subconscious mind works and this is a great fictional example of how it works The mystery is great and the development of the character is great In the The Path to Gay Rights last book Legion seemed toearn a new skill in this one he seems to take a step forward in interaction with his Aspects but then is thrown a step backwards Showing their is so much to be done with the character I can t wait to see what happens next Buddy read with Armina Athena Gavin Desinka Robin Kat Stark and RheaStephen Leeds is an interesting guy For those unfamiliar with the first book the best explanation would be he is schizophrenic who imagines different people around himself These imaginary people are really good at something Karen vs Alien like scientific research criminal investigations foreignanguage proficiency etc It is possible to call the guy a genius but from his own point of view his imaginary people are geniuses while he himself is only good at imagining a person with the right set of skills at a given moment This time the tale starts with Stephen on a date with hilarious comments from his imaginary helpers The date gets scared and Gendered Citizenships leaves but Stephen receives a call from his friend in a big trouble asking for help Stephen becomes involved in a corporate conspiracy with a mix of espionage and everything else it implies including a hit man a hit woman is this case Fun ensuresI just mentioned fun this is exactly how reading this book feels It is actually fun than a barrel full of monkeys and I am saying this while not being the biggest fan of the author I thought I would give the novella 5 stars but decided to settle on 4 There are several reasons for this Stephen Leeds as a character is very bland there is no nicer way to say it He is made such intentionally as some of his imaginary friends are really good and colorful Still a novel with a so so main character feels aittle off no matter what the reasons are Speaking about the imaginary characters one of them really makes this novella JC He is a military survivalist think Rambo but with interesting personality and his speeches and actions are brilliant It is no coincident that the only time I felt the story became slow and boring was exactly when JC was preoccupied I did not really ike this albeit small part despite the mentioning of infinite Batmans this was awesome I am judging the novella a ittle harsh and had it been written by a new author I would have given it 5 stars without a second thought but Brandon Sanderson is a well established and highly regarded writer It is still recommended to everybody who thought the first book was at east passable read and you will not regret itThis
